The truck is 17 years old and does have some small door dings from others who are careless and/or unhappy with her massive booty taking up two parking stalls. There are a few other scratches from typical use, but never abused and always covered with touch up paint. I wash her regularly with Griot's Garage car care products including spray-on wax with every towel dry (everything is done by hand since she won't fit in the automated car washes). This is a west coast truck with no rust (I grew up in the Midwest and know how that goes), she always received a thorough washing from me after trips to the mountains in winter. I have always maintained her with regular oil changes and recent changes to transmission fluid and expensive filter (AC Delco), front diff oil (Amsoil 75w-90 gear oil), and rear diff (also Amsoil 75w-90) oil. She has a brand new center transfer case in early July with less than 2000 miles on it installed by my trusted diesel specialist Plateau Diesel in Enumclaw, WA. They also did a full diagnostic and found the truck to be in good shape - records are available. I just replaced the front left unit bearing and CV axle while on a trip to Colorado in July 2023. In June I also replaced all 3 rear driveshaft u-joints with the greaseable type that have zerks included. I have done a fresh coat of Herculiner on the front bug deflector, topper / canopy / cap, rear bumper, fender flares, and nerf bars. Honestly, the Banks tuner might have been a waste of money because she has a stock transmission and I rarely turn the tuner up past the economy level (2 out of 6) setting. Also, the tuner wisely cuts power if it senses transmission slippage, so I don't turn it up when towing.
------------
Sale DOES include multiple spare new and used parts including an extra pair of FASS fuel filters, original turbo, up pipes, down pipe, exhaust manifolds, rear diff cover, extra springs for rear leaf pack (previous owner had it upgraded for a truck camper... way too stiff), truck camper tie down brackets with padlocks, lumber rack, and original front brake rotors.
Sale does NOT include topper / canopy, CB nor HAM radios, antennas, Gen-Y hitch assembly, nor Rock Tamers mud flaps you see in some photos on my website.
Cash only or cashier's check in person with both of us in person at your bank during business hours. Initial meetup will be at the Lakewood, WA police department (an OfferUp community MeetUp spot) near the YMCA - local transaction only. I do not need help selling. Obviously no warranties. Clean title in hand - we own it outright. This is a well maintained, well documented beast that our family will miss. The reason for selling is that we ordered something new and we need the cash - no trades. At this time, price is firm - if you find another one with less miles, more quality modifications, more accessories, better records, no rust, no need for DEF, 4x4, and for cheaper... go buy that one. I'm confident that those buyers who view in person will be impressed.

2021-02-06: Coverking Tactical Seat Covers review:
I have two rows of seat covers installed in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab 3500. My truck came with vinyl seats so the seat covers are a huge improvement over the previously cold seats on cold mornings. Also the fabric is very densely woven, making it appear and feel very strong and durable.
Pros: custom cut for my ride. Both rows (yes, I bought 2 sets) fit quite well overall. The installation was easy (very easy on the rear row) and I do recommend wearing gloves when reaching under the seats blindly for the bungee hooks that pull the covers tight. We love the pouches that come with the tactical set - great for families and road trips. We have the pouches for both rows put on the front seats only since the back of the rear row is not easily accessible in our crew cab. I love the adjustability of the molle webbing - we can easily hang the pouches, store tools, accessorize with patches, and hang portable DVD players or tablet for long road trips.
Cons: seat coverage on the lower cushion in the front row on both sides is not 100% - there is a gap of 2" or so on the outsides of the seats near the lower seatbelts. I do not think this gap is necessary since the rest of the covers fit so well. I might try to later flip the lower cushion cover on the left and right seats since the gap will be less visible on the inside and will also line up with the seatbelt buckle.
Too bad Costco won't let me submit photos because overall the covers look and function very well.

LBZ motor specifications from GM Authority blog post.
M 6.6 Liter LBZ V-8 Duramax Turbo Diesel EngineThe 6.6-liter LBZ Duramax V8 diesel engine was introduced midway through the 2006 model year, when it replaced the 6.6 liter LLY Duramax variant. As such, it powered Chevrolet Silverado Heavy-Duty and GMC Sierra Heavy-Duty pickup trucks through 2007, making up to 360 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Notably, the LBZ is one of the most desirable Durmax V8 engines due to the improvements over its predecessors as well as an element of simplicity compared to modernized emission controls.
6.6L LBZ Engine Vitals:
Displacement:6.6L / 403 cu. in.
Aspiration:Natural
Vehicles:Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD
Introduced:Mid-2006 model year
Discontinued:2007 model year
Predecessor:LLY Duramax V8
Successor:LMM Duramax V8
Assembly:Moraine, Ohio, USA
Overview:
As mentioned, the LBZ Duramax V8 had an SAE-certified output rating of 360 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, which is an improvement of 50 horsepower and 45 pounds of twist compared to the outgoing LLY Duramax. The enhanced performance was due to a host of revisions and new tech, including a more rigid engine block, significantly stronger connecting rods, revised fuel injectors with a jump in the injection system’s maximum pressure – from 23,000 to 26,000 psi – as well as a larger inlet manifold for the turbocharger.
While the LBZ wasn’t entirely free of emissions controls, the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) did inhibit performance and fuel economy as much as later emissions components.
That said, the beloved LBZ was not without its faults. Time has come to identify the pistons as the weak point of this particular Duramax V8 variant, as the cast aluminium bits are prone to cracking, especially when the engine’s output is boosted. Members of the community also point to the use of wrist pin bushings as a leading cause of failure.
