2009 Subaru Impreza WRX.
2009 Subaru Impreza WRX hatchback. Best car ever (in our opinion and based on our research).
SOLD 04/03/2020 with 62,950 miles. > 62,709 miles as of 01/12/2020. 43,400 miles as of 02/14/2014. > 5 speed manual (stick shift) transmission. > 265 hp, turbo charged, flat (horizontal), 2.5 liter, four cylinder, "boxer" engine. 244 lb/ft of torque. > Symmetrical all wheel drive (full time four wheel drive). > 4 door hatchback ("5 door") / wagon. > "Premium" package with fog lamps, heated front seats, heated mirrors, heated wiper blades (heat elements on the glass), and sliding moon roof (sun / sunroof). > Keyless entry, power windows, power locks, cruise control. > Hill start assist: holds the brakes on a hill while you move your foot off the brake and to the gas. We get 27mpg while going 60mph on 2-lane roads, about 25-26mpg on the interstate at 75mph. > Dunlop 225/45r17 tires. 5-100.0 bolt pattern. > ADDED ACCESSORIES: + Subaru rubber floor mats (we also have the carpeted floor mats). + Subaru rubber cargo liner. + Subaru bumper protector. + Rally Armor mud flaps (http://www.rallyarmor.com/). + Dealer-installed SPT (Subaru Performance Tuning) boost & vacuum gauge (made by Stewart Warner) = $230. (http://www.safercar.gov/Vehicle+Shoppers/5-Star+Safety+Ratings/1990-2010+Vehicles/Vehicle-Detail?vehicleId=5491) > Consumer Reports "recommended" car for performance, longevity, and safety. Subaru is also Consumer Reports' best brand for 2012. > NEVER track raced, drag raced, or rally raced, although it could do all of these very well. > 0-60 in 4.7 seconds according to Car and Driver. It was the quickest car from 0-60 between $25k and $30k in 2009 (http://www.caranddriver.com/features/the-quickest-cars-of-2009-25000-to-30000). Car and Driver review here (http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2009-subaru-impreza-wrx-25gt-car-news). Quarter-mile time: 13.5 sec @ 102 mph. Highs: Amazing acceleration, minimal turbo lag, smooth ride, high refinement factor. Lows: Smooth ride a little too soft in the corners, vague steering. The Verdict: Quicker than its big brother, the STI, and it’s $10,000 less. That’s what we call a bargain." ( http://www.caranddriver.com/features/the-quickest-cars-of-2009-25000-to-30000) > Only had premium fuel: 91+ octane per the manufacturer's specifications. > Provisions (anchor points) for roof rack. > No accidents. No body work or repairs ever needed. > Not even a dent. We always park far from the entrance at shopping centers so bozos don't give us door dents. > Always parked in our garage when at home. > A few small paint chips from driving, but always repaired with Subaru touch-up paint (included with the car - plenty left over). > Meticulously maintained with dealer service records (we originally had the dealer's maintenance plan). > We bought the car in western Washington (Seattle area), so it has only seen two winters of Midwestern snow, ice, and salt. No rust at all. > Meticulously cleaned with Griot's Garage car care products: "Car Care for the Perfectionist." (http://www.griotsgarage.com) Former listing - thought about selling in 2014: > We are selling for $19,500. This is the Kelly Blue Book price, but remember that it comes with the extra set of basically new Dunlop performance tires and accessories listed above (rubber floor mats, cargo liner, bumper protector, mud flaps, boost gauge, and iPod interface & cable). > No need to low ball us: We don't need to sell the car immediately. We know what it is worth. We know how well we have taken care of it. You'll be getting a good deal as we have swallowed the depreciation. Actually, this won't depreciate much for you as the new owner... it is a car in high demand with a high resale value. > My wife and I are both have very safe driving records with no speeding tickets, moving violations, or accidents caused by us. THIS car has never been in an accident. She has driven it most of the time as I walk to work and drive our Dodge pickup. > Clean title. Currently we do have a Subaru Motors Finance loan from Chase bank. > We love this car and are selling it to be a one car family. Since we don't drive it much, no need to pay the license / registration, loan, and insurance. > No scammers - local deal only. Cash, cashier's check, or we can possibly go to your bank if you need to finance it with a loan officer. We would be willing to work with buyers in the Tacoma, Seattle, and Olympia areas. > No joy riders. It is a fast car. If this would be your first time driving a stick, don't waste my time. This is a boy racer, but not a toy. It is a driver's car. In my opinion it is a better car than the Honda Civic Si, CRX; Toyota whatever; Mitsubushi Lancer Evolution; VW Golf, Jetta, Rabbit; Mazda Mazdaspeed 3 (Speed 3), RX8; Audi A3. Smoke the Corvette, Mustang, Camaro, Cobalt SS, and BMW from the stoplight on a rainy day. Laugh at the 2wd cars curb checking when the snow flies. |
